My Ego has a new Perspective

I previously spoke of taking years to find the right name for this site. 

It took years because well, my Ego can be pretty stubborn. 

I mentioned in the previous post that one’s ego, or sense of self, has a secret superpower…Judgement.

What I didn’t mention, is its secret motive…

Protection…

By trying to control any variables…

When our egos have an idea of how we “feel” something should be, we stifle the flow of energy. 

We basically tell the Universe, God, Goddess (insert whatever name you believe), that the only “way”, the only “how” for this thing to happen is this one way.

Imagine water flowing from a faucet, then turning the water pressure down to the point that only a few drops of water flow at a time. 

That’s   what   we   do.

We stop every possibility of the very thing we are trying to manifest, except for that one possibility we thought of.

We force the flow of energy into a certain path.

The truth is, I didn’t come up with the name of this site by putting years of effort into what I thought it should be. 

I came up with it when I let go of what I “thought” it should look like. 

It wasn’t until I let go of the how, and trust in that which is greater than ourselves (whatever that looks like to you) that the name literally popped into my mind, flashing like a neon sign.

In this wonderful, crazy human experience, we are good at deciding where we should go and how we should get there. 

Then we get frustrated when it doesn’t match the ideas in our minds or when it isn’t happening fast enough.

We want to focus on the “correct” direction of the river and force change to better suit us. 

The more this is done, the more beauty gets destroyed, and we feel the same or worse.

Rather than control the direction of the river, let the river flow in any and all directions and speeds. 

Let it flow to you, through you and from you. 

For as it flows, it leads us to beauty never before realized.
